SwimJim is committed to professional swim lessons within a nurturing, fun environment. Our program for infants and toddlers uses a unique, gentle, personal teaching method. We feel progress and ability are individually achieved. Instruction in our program ranges from our specialized classes for infants and toddlers to training for those wanting to develop stroke technique in preparation for swim teams. Regardless of the level, our instructors guide students to attain their best while enjoying the sport of swimming and having fun.
SwimJim proudly uses the aquatic educational program from The Underwater Schoolhouse. The Underwater Schoolhouse Program was developed with love, passion, experience and research by Leslie Crawford, Olympic Gold Medallist, Catherine Fox, and Jim Spiers. All instructors have had over 120 hours of specialized training in the Underwater Schoolhouse methodology and techniques.
In order to stay abreast of the most progressive teaching techniques, the SwimJim staff attends continuing education classes. Our entire staff has certifications in CPR and First Aid. We work diligently on staff development in order to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.
SwimJim adheres to guidelines established by The United States Swim School Association. We are members of The United States Swim School Association, World Aquatic Babies Congress, and Swim For Life Foundation, a non-profit foundation which promotes the Safer 3 Program. Since 1994, The Aquanaut Swim School and SwimJim have gained recognition as the Best of The United States Swim School Association in over ten categories. Additionally, Leslie Crawford, Catherine Fox and Jim Spiers have had the honor of presenting their knowledge and expertise at swim conferences both domestically and abroad.
